What are the approval and labelling requirements for telecom equipment in Algeria?
The commercialization of telecom and radio equipment in Algeria requires approval from either the ARPCE (Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Communications Électroniques) or the ANF (Agence Nationale des Fréquences), depending on the product type.
Both approval processes are similar; the main difference lies in the competent national authority responsible for issuing the certificate, based on the product category.
In general, all Short Range Devices (SRD) fall under ANF approval, while all other products, including those supporting Wi-Fi or cellular technologies, require ARPCE approval.
