🇸🇦 SASO has issued a circular introducing new on-product labelling requirements for products covered under ten technical regulations, effective 1 October 2026.
Affected products must display the supplier's name (importer or local manufacturer) and the commercial registration number directly on the product — no longer only on packaging or documents. Covered categories include electric scooters, solar photovoltaic systems, electrical lifts, simple pressure vessels, LPG tankers, watercraft, tanks, trailers and semi-trailers, child restraint systems and hydraulic products.
From the effective date, Certificates of Conformity will not be issued for non-compliant products. SASO will monitor compliance via random sampling and technical file reviews on the SABER platform.
